Tune in at www.celticmusicradio.net/ or 1530 AM in the greater Glasgow area. August 2009 - Good continuing play of CD on the radio. There has been good continuing play of the Far from Home CD on the radio. BBC Radio Scotland's Iain Anderson Show bbc.co.uk/radioscotland/presenters/iain_anderson/ continues its very welcome support and featuring the CD in its now traditional spot of last track of the evening! Rick Stuart at the Roots & Fusion Show on Pure 107.8FM (www.pureradio.org.uk) has been featuring tracks and has used Edinburgh City Blue as the backing track for a jingle to advertise the show on the station. KKUP Radio has been broadcasting in the Santa Cruz/ Monterey Bay area for over 37 years (www.kkup.com/) and has given many tracks from Far from Home airplay throughout 2009. Thanks go to Peter Schwarz. July 2009 - The People and Songs of the Sea CD getting great reviews. The compilation CD on the Greentrax label has been getting great and extensive reviews throughout the UK and USA. "Scottish label supreme, Greentrax scores yet again with a brilliant piece of work. Make no mistake this is a gorgeous album and bottom line and inarguable, this is a brilliant album of tunes and songs" - LiveIreland.com 6 June 2009- The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen -John Carnie & Dave Moir in concert. May 2009 - John has been involved in the 'People and Songs of the Sea' CD which will be released on the Greentrax lable in early June. One of his tracks 'The Shaalds of Foulla" has been included on the album. The CD reflects the rich cultural heritage of Scotland's fishing, with recordings from a fine list of artists including: Archie Fisher, Isla St Clair, Cathy-Ann MacPhee, The Corries, Cilla Fisher, Davy Steele, Gerry OConner, The Cast, The McCalmans and Shona McMillan. January 2009 - The first radio play of the new year with the track 'Columba' featuring on the BBC Radio Scotland Iain_Anderson Show. The CD has now had around a dozen plays on this show alone. December 2008 - The CD has been featuring in the www.footstompin.com recent "Top Sellers" and has also featured in a couple of folks "Top 10 albums of the year" on the same website.
